The Betrayed - The Guardian

As the bright sun slowly sinks, at the end of another day
I turn for home, but I can't find my way.
Lost in a jungle of ignorance and hate.
Somebow this darkness tells me I'm too late.

Then on the breeze, I hear you voice and it say.

Chorus
"Oh whistle and I'll come to you my lad,
I'm here for you when thing seems so bad.
I will watch over, I am at you side,
In your darkest days I will gently guide".

I've fought this fight 'til I can't fight no more,
So desolate I can no longer understand
I feel so isolated like I'm standging alone,
Rejected for casting the first stone.

Chorus
As time slips away, night turns to day,
Surely there must be some other way.
All I've every done without ever wanting glory,
But I have reached the last page of this story.

Chorus

But flicking somewhere in the back of my mind
Are seeds of redemption unchalenged, unsigned
There on the wind maybe I heard your words,
So I turn and rise up and gather my sword.

Chorus
